Good jacket
Overall, I'd call this a very good purchase. The leather is a bit lighter than I thought it would be, but it looks good and should save my skin if needed, which is what counts anyway. The style is great, especially since there is almost nothing else like this out there, especially at this price point. Lancer-style closings are best for wind protection (especially in winter), as are mandarin collars, but you rarely ever find them together as on this jacket. The liner isn't very substantial, but that's OK with me as I never use such liners (I use a windproof fleece vest underneath jackets when needed). As for the sizing, it is true and "old school" --that is, a 40 is a real 40, meant for a guy with no more than a 34 waist. You don't want this jacket if you are, shall we say, "super-sized." It fits snug, as they did in the 60s and 70s. If you want a classic (and yet diffferent) jacket, this is the one. Especially if, like me, you ride Brit iron-- it has that classsic Rocker look!
