Too many choices? Motorcycle riders, bike riders, and Indy car drivers (that would be my wife) each have special needs when choosing the right pair of leather gloves. Here are some key features to help you decide which leather gloves best fit your needs:
- Vents allow your hands to breath and are great if you have a tendency to sweat.
- Stretch Panels allow for increased flexibility when working the throttle or shifting gears. Stretch panels also add more padding to those areas.
- Gauntlet Cuffs will merge with your leather jacket and prevent wind from flowing up the sleeves.
- Gel Pad palms reduce fatigue and increase your comfort.
- Unlined palm increases your grip.
- Fingerless gloves allow the advantage of touch and a greater degree of flexibility. Ideal for biking, weightlifting and many other sports.
- Reinforced Palm and thumb web adds extra padding for scuffs and improved impact protection as well as additional protection against sharp objects.
- Deerskin and Naked Leather are the softest leather and most desirable skins in gloves. These will give you maximum anti-slip grip.
- Thinsulate and Fleece lining are best for cold weather.
- Hypora lining insert makes the gloves waterproof.
- Hard Knuckle pads are just another fancy way to protect your knuckles from a mishap.
- Removable Cuff just converts a work glove to a riding glove.
